About

Once upon a time, there was a girl who lived in the city, but dreamt of skylines with trees instead of apartment buildings, lit by stars–not skyscrapers. Beneath the din of traffic and neighbors fighting, she’d listen to the stories of imaginary people and write them down. One day she escaped to an old, neglected house on a steep hill, she lovingly dubbed “Death Mountain“, surrounded by forest, crows, and a frequent fog reminiscent of Stephen King novels – the perfect place for stories to be born. She devoted her time to fixing the years of neglect, creating things, and trying to find her own story. One day a baby dragon disguised as a sick wolf showed up at her doorstep. She nursed him back to health and discovered he loved ice cream, car rides, hoarding random things, and every single person he met. He decided she was an acceptable keeper and that Death Mountain would be his home.

This is a place for all the threads of their strange and ridiculous adventures and the stories they find along the way.

Writing is a slow, messy, and lonely business, so I’ve got a ton of other interests and distractions to keep me from going too crazy. So along with the expected writing and author posts, I’m going to add in the random creative endeavors and ridiculous stories. From my dog who refuses to eat any actual dog food, to the absurdity that living in the middle of the woods brings (like baby squirrels that break into your house in the middle of the night), to my obsessive need to organize every possible thing and make every recipe I see on Pinterest, this blog will give little glimpses into the crazy world that surrounds my writing.

If you want to drop me a line, or ask me a question I’d love to hear from you.
